The source of the most recent HTC Lollipop update + Sense
video
has just leaked some new information about the current schedule for
HTC’s Lollipop releases. So if you have any of HTC’s latest smartphones,
then you might be interested to see what the company is planning this
year.
As
we can see in the image, we have a good amount of information to go on.
This should be considered a rumor and as always, should be taken with a
grain of salt. However, this information comes from a reliable source.
We just have to remember that this is nothing more than an estimated
release schedule. Things get delayed all the time, so unless everything
goes off without a hitch, then expect some of these releases to be
delayed.
Latest leak reveals Lollipop update plans for HTC One M8, M7, Desire Eye, Butterfly and more
The
table is broken up into 4 sections: T1/2015, T2/2015, T3/2015, and then
T3+T4/2015. I can only imagine that these are the different quarters of
the year. So the HTC One M7 and the HTC
One M8 are scheduled to receive
Android 5.0.1 Lollipop
in the first quarter of the year.
Then the HTC One E8, HTC Desire EYE, HTC One M8 EYE, and the HTC
Butterfly 2 are all scheduled to be updated to Android 5.0.1 Lollipop in
the second quarter of this year.

The HTC One Max, HTC One M7 Dual SIM, HTC Desire 816, HTC Desire 820u, HTC One M8 Mini, HTC One E8 (in
China),
and the HTC One M8 EYE (in China), are all scheduled to be updated to
Android 5.0.1 Lollipop in the 3rd quarter of the year. Lastly, the HTC
One M8 Mini (#UL), HTC Desire 610, HTC Desire 820s, HTC Desire 510, and
the HTC One M7 Mini are all scheduled to be updated to Android 5.0.1
Lollipop in the 3rd and 4th quarter of 2015.
Again,
this is nothing more than a rumor, but it is something to go on. This
Lollipop release schedule, on top of the release of the HTC One M9,
gives HTC a lot of things to work on over the next 12 months. We should
also note that this is the schedule for HTC releases, not individual
carrier releases. Since carriers work on their own schedules, we have no
idea when those updates will be pushed out.
