A
number of Obama administration officials are running around providing
not-for-attribution comments on tonight's State of the Union speech --
including President Obama himself.
As is White House custom, the president is having lunch with network news anchors about the annual address.
The session is off the record, and the tradition has been around for decades.
The Huffington Post
reports that the guest list includes Scott Pelley of CBS, Brian
Williams of NBC, Judy Woodruff of PBS, and Robert Siegel of NPR.
There
might not be much to preview this year. Obama and his aides have
already rolled out many of the initiatives to be discussed in the State
of the Union speech.
