Android 5.0 Lollipop Update: LG G2 Lollipop Video Leaked; HTC One (M7) To Receive Its Last Update Android 5.0.2, Alongside HTC One (M8)

The LG G3 owners were the first set of users to receive the Android
5.0 Lollipop update. However, the 2013 flagship LG G2 did not make it
to the list. Nonetheless, the latest report states that, the
well-received G2 is also going to be updated to Android 5.0.1 Lollipop. In addition, the HTC One (M7), One (M8) and the old handset HTC HD2 are going to receive the Lollipop update.

Going by the videos leaked recently, the LG G2 is seen running the
latest Android OS. Out of the two videos, the first video showcases the
G2 smartphone with the new Android version installed. This is followed
by another video showcasing the Korean version of the G2. But then, as
LG gears up to roll out the software update to Lollipop, the
international model of the G2 will also be covered, points out Phone Arena.
Along with the Lollipop update, LG has also introduced the new "custom UI version" that debuted with the LG G3. On the flipside, LG has not confirmed the Android 5.0 Lollipop update release date for the G2 yet. [Scroll down to watch the video.]
Moving on to the HTC One (M7), during the beginning of December,
rumours stated that the One (M7) and One (M8) will receive the Lollipop
update in early January. This was further confirmed by the credible HTC
tipster LlabTooFeR. According to the tipster, the M8 will reportedly
receive the software update within the next one or two weeks. But then,
he did not mention the M7. However now, the same tipster has updated the
M7 situation via a tweet, according to Android Headlines.Along with the Lollipop update, LG has also introduced the new "custom UI version" that debuted with the LG G3. Apparently, the M7 will receive the Android 5.0.2 Lollipop update. Based on the tweet, the aforesaid Android update will reportedly be the "last update" to the HTC One (M7), released in February 2013. It is worth noting that, the rollout of Android updates is reportedly valid for only the "two-year guaranteed" time frame, from the time the handset gets released. After the two-year time frame, OEMs are not committed to update the old devices.
On the other hand, the 2009 flagship HTC HD2 that originally ran on Windows Mobile Professional 6.5 will also reportedly get the Android 5.0.1 update. The HD2 has gone through many changes from the time it was released in 2009. Apparently, the handset has been running the following OS version at some point in time - forked version of Android via Nokia X, Firefox OS, Windows RT, Windows Phone 8, Windows Phone 7.5, in addition to dual boot Android and Windows Phone 7. With respect to Android, the HD2 has a history of running KitKat, JellyBean and Froyo, thus far, says Phone Arena.
